Where to Start...

Since I obviously have been terrible at blogging I'm going to summarize my year so far with something I am really good at coming up with...lists.

• Holmes High School Softball started in January...and we finished one game away from state the last week of May! In this monster of a state Texas we only have four regions.  The winner of each region plays for the state title. We competed in the Regional game...fought our way from 128 teams to just 8 teams left in the entire state of Texas...and suffered a devastating loss to our nemesis O'Connor High School. 
• Pretty much...that has been my entire life until now.

Actually-there are a few wonderful things that have happened during softball season & weeks after.

• My little niece Krista Avery was born 2 weeks ago (I'm so in love with that little gem)
• I've managed to achieve the worst tan line that looks like I'm wearing socks 24/7
• The first week of summer break I got called to serve jury duty...and actually got picked
• On the same first day of jury duty I got pulled over for "speeding" which I might have been, but only a couple of miles over, not the 15 he said I was
• I finished the first book in the Hunger Games series {loved it!}
• This week My husband turned in is application to the San Antonio Police Department (so proud of him...this job takes so much courage)
• We (meaning Chris) built two large raised garden beds and planted tomatoes, squash, green peppers, and jalepenos from seeds...they've been delish and we have plans to build more for fruits, carrots, and other yumminess
• I've only been fishing once...for one day...this is a huge problem that will hopefully be fixed by July :)

So, that is all that I can remember right now.  I've missed reading all the updates in y'alls lives and look forward to "catching up" with you.
