Pearsall Basketball Tournament
I just have to do a quick post about my 7th Grade Basketball Team. We had a tournament this weekend in Pearsall (3A school?) with 8 teams (3A and 4A schools). Jourdanton is a 2A school, so we are considerably smaller than these other teams. On Friday we played Crystal City and pulled out a win in the last 20 seconds of the game. I had a few girls crying they were so happy. I was so proud of them. We moved on to play Medina Valley (so good...and big); needless to say, we lost. The girls played hard, but had psyched themselves out before the game even started. The loss put us playing for 3rd place in the tournament against Sommerset. We won! Our first tournament for basketball and we came away with a very nice trophy. I felt like we had paparazzi with all the parents who came and wanted to take pictures. I am so grateful to be a part of these young girls lives. A couple of them wanted pictures with me after the game...it makes my job a little easier knowing how much they appreciate it. I am very lucky to have such sweet girls.

Hey Tiff,
Will you let your lil hubby know that there is a potential that we are coming down next month the weekend of Valentines and Adam wants to do a little paintball. Funny that the day he wants to do it is Valentines day, but I guess that is as romantic as he gets sometimes ;). He asked if he could play that Saturday and I said, "what you aren't going to take me to the Riverwalk? You aren't going to take me out and wine and dine me? You just wanna play paintball with Chris?" He sat there for a sec, and said, "yup". lol I dont get it! I honestly dont know what the plans will be, but just so he has a heads up :) Maybe we can go wine and dine ourselves while the men shoot it up.
Congrats! Your blog is so cute-you are so good with all of the colors & fonts.
Congratulations! I bet having moments like that make all that hard work really pay off. That's great I am so happy for you.
