Last week was my first official week of summer vacation and it was wonderful. I was able to babysit Kylie (Jessica's 9month old), LeeAna (Ashley's 5 month old), and Conner (Angela's 5 months old)--of course not all at once! I really need to post pictures, but my batteries are still dead. It was a lot of fun and as Chris says-you really want one of these? He makes me laugh...which brings me to my next point.
This vacation is just not as much fun without him being around! Chris told me I better be ready for lots of boredom...which is slightly true, I just need to plan my days betters. Its really easy to sleep in too long, sit around all day and accomplish nothing. To some of you this sounds wonderful (which once in a while, it is), but not a week of it...so I am joining Spectrum Health Club so I can go to the gym and take part in paying people so that I feel that I have to work out, so I don't waste money deal. I actually am really excited to go to all of the classes (yoga, kickboxing, step). This in no way indicates that I am good at any of these activities, but they are fun and I don't really think about all the hard work while I'm working out.
Continuing on: Saturday I went to Seaworld with the family (Jon, Jessica, & Kylie; Mom & Jordan). Amy is still away at college, Mandy and Chris had to work. It was a blast. We actually didn't do a whole lot, but I loved it. We went around the 'lazy river' like 5 times. My mom and I sat luxuriously in our own tubes {haha} while Jessica and Jordan tried to find life jackets that they could float on/in, and Jon held Kylie in her over sized 'required by Seaworld' life jacket. Eventually, Kylie ended up sitting with my mom and Jon and Jessica claimed "Butt Pincher" fish were among us. Oh, good times, good times. We saw the Viva show and a water skiing show...Viva rocked!
I just have to have this for my own personal record: The Viva show was spectacular. Acrobats dropping from the rafters into the deep abyss below them. Synchronized swimmers striking quick, instrumental movements to the beat. Baluga Whales and Pacific Whitesided Dolphins skimmed the water...gracefully turning, energetically 'moon walking' and flipping. I couldn't help but feel such gratitude for being able to witness such beauty and talent...I was awe struck. Loved it!

8 Friendly Remarks:
I miss having a season pass at Sea World but I figure we ought to save money since we have a little one on the way. And also, I don't know if you work for Northside or not but they give full time teachers free memberships at Spectrum. Maybe if you don't, your school district does something similar for their teachers...but you'd probably already know about that.
Sounds wonderful...I say let yourself relax for at least a month. You deserve it. After that I guess get busy, but enjoy the boredom for a little while. Those moments are few and far in between.
For some reason I haven't been able to read your posts lately. I am glad I can read them again, Have a fun break!
Hey Tib! Great blog! I'm glad you checked ours out as well. It is nice to read what y'all are up to. It's true, those lazy days will be a thing of the past so make the most of them. Spectrum sounds like a great idea! Later, Love Uncle B
We live in Laura Heights outside the 1604 and just north of Sea World.

I know what you mean about having nothing to do! But it sounds like you have been having some fun! Those shows sound awesome!
