Its been another quiet Sunday. Our church is at 9am, so we are all finished with church meetings by noon. Occasionally Chris has to work on Sunday from 1-7 pm...and this Sunday was just that. Luckily, the Lasater Family had invited us over for cake and ice cream (homemade...delish!) for Matt Lasater's birthday. Of course, Chris was working, but I still went over. Their two kids are such cuties!!! We had actually babysat them the night before so it was fun to go back over to visit with Matt and Jen. Matt had to go to some church meetings, so Jen and I got to go down to the creek behind their house and do a little fishing with the kids. It was tons of fun to watch them catch little perch fish with hot dogs as bait (I swear, it really worked!). For proof, here is Jace with his catch and Brett & Jen with his fish.

I hung around while the kids ate and got ready for bed. I listened in on scripture study and it was so refreshing to see Jen read to the boys. Its adorable when it says "And it came to pass" in the scriptures, they tell Brett its his turn and he says outloud "and it came to pass." Love it! I will probably will use that when I have kids of my own...such a good idea (thanks Jen for letting be a part of your family scripture study). Today was such a peaceful Sunday and I had time to reflect on the importance of family and see a wonderful one in action :)
6 Friendly Remarks:
Oh tiffany of course I remember you you silly girl! Hoe are you? You look exactly the same! You look so cute with your little hubby!
Ah, how sweet! I'm all sorts of homesick now. Booo!!! Such cute pics!
It's so fun to watch good friends raise their families. I guess that's a good reason why I don't have kids yet, I am still collecting good ideas.. Thanks for that one... P.S. I'm really not into taking pictures for money...but you can share them with whoever you want to. :)
What a fun Sunday! I wish our church was at 9:00 the day seems to go so much smoother, that is if you can just make it to church on time!
That is the sweetest day EVER!!!! Cherish those teaching moments! Kids are the best (even better when they are neighbors)
Thanks for the nice things you said about our family! We are so thankful for you guys. The boys love you so much! Brett actually cried in the morning when we were home and you weren't there. Jace keeps talking about going fishing with Chris again, so make sure you tell him that! We are happy to have you guys over whenever, so just come on! :-) Thanks very much for babysitting. We at least got started on choosing flooring for the house...wahooo!
