Jen, I decided to do the tag :)

What were you doing 10 years ago?

I was 15 years old at Northridge High School, my sophmore year. I just got my drivers license not too long ago. I was a starter playing softball for the Knights. It was my last year that I would be in Utah before moving to San Antonio with my mom. My parents were also going through a divorce (Boo for that). I remember going to Stomps all the time too...seems so long ago!

5 things on my to do list today

Well, since its so late tonight I will list tomorrows goals:
1-Laundry!!! I so need to finish this and probably won't finish; I have to be honest with myself :)
2-Grocery Shopping (I find that I am throwing out so much food weekly...there are only two of us and we don't eat enough, I need tips (aka HELP) on cooking for two!)
3-Run and go to the Gym (I have to go the the gym so many times a week in order for my boss to pay for the membership)
4-Dinner and movie with my sisters and little brother. We are going to see Horton Hears a Who
5-Make dinner for my poor husband who has school until 9 pm (I try to have something ready for him so we can talk, watch the news, and still have time for our scripture study...its tough when he's so tired).

6 Snacks that I enjoy

1-Mozzarella Cheese
2-Mangos, Watermelon, Oranges (for now...it always changes)
3-Chips and Corn Salsa (Chris and I made up this yummy recipe for corn salsa and we eat way to much of it!)
4-Coconut Popscicles
5-Dove Dark Chocolate, the best

If I were suddenly a billionaire?

I'd pay tithing, of course. Then I would pay off all of my Dads debt and buy him a house in San Antonio (or wherever he wanted to live). Next, school loans-gone; car payments and credit card-gone. I'd buy a ton of land to build a house on and to give Chris his dream ranch to manage deer and exotic wildlife on (and buy him his dream truck). I'd pay off all the rest of any of my families loans and give them a portion of $. I'd donate some to single parents and a few worthy casuses. I'd like to create a large home for the homeless where they could stay with their families, learn social and job skills, and put them back into society where they can be on their own after finding a job and saving enough to provide for themselves. Then I would invest the rest for my childrens college fund and savings bonds.

5 places I have lived

1-Kaysville, Utah
2-Layton, Utah (like 3 year old until 15/16 years old)
3-Montana (stayed somewhere with my Dad summer 1999)
4-San Antonio (I have moved around here more than anywhere: with my grandparents when we first moved down, then into a house with my family, into an apartment by myself, then into a house which I shared with my sister Amy, and now into my apartment which I live with my hubby and pups).

5 Jobs I have had

-Webster Univerity: Secretary, First job (sophmore year of college!)
-Dr. Lunt (Dental office): secretary
-Dr. Lunt: dental assisant
-New Balance: Apparel Manager and Merchandising
-Biology Teacher...hopefully this Fall, I know how nerdy (i remember my sophmore Bio Teacher Mr. Ashton and he was such a goof, but so smart!)

5 things people may not know about me

1-I used to dance (when I was younger). I'd walk up the street to the studio after The Smurfs. I ended up not doing dance very long because I was too scared to dance in front of people.
2-In high school in San Antonio, I learned to swing dance and it was a blast! (Thanks Matt and Jen...so much fun)
3-I made All-Region Team for college softball team
4-I've never broken a bone or had stitches (knock on wood)
5-I am allergic to grass--but I don't let it stop me from getting grass stains every now and then :)

5 friends to tag

Brea, Jessica, Von, Mindy, and anyone else who hasn't done this...I know most of you have!

Such a fun tag..I wondered the reasoning behind moving to Texas. Now I know, divorce is no fun. My parents did when we were 14, it was an awful time for me. Way to go on the college softball thing, that is cool that you kept playing.

I really liked your tag! I remember Mr Ashton. He was a goofball, but I learned the most in his class! I had a really hard time when I first got married cooking for two also. I still don't think I quite have it figured out! How lucky to have never broken a bone or had stitches. I liked reading this and getting to know you better!

I didn't know that you were going to be a Biology teacher, that's cool! You're not alone in the Laundry war. I always have good intentions but I never finish in one day either!! F.Y.I. Jessica is having her baby this week. Needless to say she's feeling pretty miserable but super excited to have baby Chase!

I am so glad you did this, I thought about tagging you, but seriously whenever I tag people they never do it. I loved learning all about you. First of all I have no idea what coconut popsicles are, where do you get them? I took Lance to see Horton Hears a Who, we loved it have a fun time with your family. And I think it is so great you are going to be a biology teacher, good for you!

Fun tag! Is that Mindy, me? I have some advice on cooking for two. There are some meals you can freeze. Every Sunday, I write down our weekly menu plan. Sometimes the meals go on a different day, but we usually stick to the meals that are planned. Unless I'm sick or we have too many left overs. Back to the point. I always plan meals making sure Jason can take them in his lunch the next day. I usually eat the left overs the next day too. Unless you really love the meal, I wouldn't make anything that serves more than 4. Or if it looks like it's too much, try making half of it. If it wasn't enough food, then you know not to half it the next time.

As much as I'd like to only go to the grocery store once a week, I realize with produce, I can't. I don't what it is, but some of the produce goes bad quickly. So, I get want I need on the menu plan recipes on Monday that usually last until Thursday. Then I'll go to the store again on Thursday or Friday and get what I need until Monday. So, twice a week is not bad. I hope this helps some. I hate seeing food being wasted too. Esp. with grocery prices going UP!

Tiffany, thanks for the fun tag! I had fun doing it and what a good reason to pull out the photos I just found recently. I would love to see pictures from Lincoln. I have my Kindergarten class and individuals, but that's it. I don't have any from 2nd or 3rd. I would love to see some familiar faces.

That's so awesome that you played softball in college... I wish I could have kept playing in highschool, but I would have turned out to be the poster over-scheduled child. My parents did the divorce thing when I was 16 too, not fun, but what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right? And I love you dogs... (I haven't done the tag thing yet, but if I get around to it, I will.)
