Another exciting reason for fall...is all the yummy treats! This past week I made this caramel popcorn...so delish! I served it at my birthday get-together Sunday evening and it was a hit. I'm hoping to be able to make caramel apples sometime this week...
This past week was homecoming for the high school I teach at. So, Friday night Chris, me, my sister Jessica, her husband Jon, and their daughter Kylie all headed to the football game to watch the Holmes Huskies bring home a shut-out victory 27-0 against Taft. The next morning was a middle school volleyball tournament that I needed to attend. My sisters Mandy (with kiddos she was watching) and Jessica (with Kylie) joined me at the game. I snapped this picture on our way back...such a doll!
This Sunday evening I made yummy vanilla chocolate chip cookies...Chris enjoyed them, so they must have been good { I know I did}. I am finding that I enjoy cooking a whole lot! We even had Tarragon Crock Pot Chicken (from the latest Rachel Ray magazine) for dinner. In other Sunday news, I cried in sacrament today. One of the speakers today was a man who can not really walk on his own, but he is there every Sunday. I've never heard him complain...he even made a joke about how he wasn't nervous since his vision allows him to see like he's looking through a bottle of Vaseline. During the sacrament I had said a little prayer to please help me have more motivation to enjoy the 3 hours of church (I'd been having a hard time truly feeling the spirit and listening lately). I think its all the little newborns who are so adorable, and I just wish I had one of my own, so I zone out...easily discouraged.
Anywho, it was a great message and I left feeling uplifted! Its going to be another great week.

2 Friendly Remarks:
Oh I hope you got that grey cardigan, that is so cute! I wore a cardigan yesterday for the first time this season and it felt so good. I love them too, just the right amount of coziness.
Don't be discouraged friend, you will have your own little newborn soon enough. Only then you will still be zoning out during sacrament cause that little cutie won't be quiet. At least that's how it works on my end anyway!
Oh and the wallflower is pumpkin of course!
I love that cardigan too!
