Last Thursday we headed down to the coast once again...what can I say...we love the coast! We enjoyed the beach, fishing, food, relaxation, and fireworks. But I just thought I would write down on the lovely events that happened that weren't so...wonderful--and they all happened to Chris.
- Alternative way to enter the boat-slipped on the boat and fell
- Gently enfolded in appendages of a jellyfish=pain and stings
- GPS went on strike-it refused to work
- Awesome fillet knives that Chris carries around like a baby were left behind at the fish cleaning station and stolen
- In the said knives bag was a fantastic knife sharpener...it is also reported missing
- We were catching so many fish boaters driving by would try and invade our"fishing space"
- Because of #6 Chris jumped into the water to wade to the shore...little did he know it was 6 feet deep
- Because of #7 his fish pliers came off of his wading belt and ventured to the bottom of the ocean {after multiple attempts to retrieve, Chris gave in}
- The electric knife to cut the larger fish stopped working, which left us with old dull knives to try and fillet fish (and by us, I mean Chris)...remember, his coveted knives were stolen
- The anchor to the boat did not want to go home...at our last fishing spot it would not come up from the 15 feet below...in the process of trying to loosen it the boat almost hit an oil rig--lovely
HOWEVER-this was one of our most enjoyable trips despite all the not so nice things going on. Waterstreet Oyster Bar almost ran out of oysters, but we made it just in time-sat waiting with several nice couples who offered to share theirs with us. We sat on the back of the truck and watched multiple fireworks all across the bay. I was able to visit my favorite candy shop which has delish grapefruit gummies. Chris never made me get up early to start fishing...we got up late, ate yummy home style breakfasts, and still managed to catch tons of fish. All in all, much fun was had. Sorry for all the bad luck, at least you were able to still have fun. For me after so many bad things keep happening it almost just becomes laughable and I stop caring so much...
How sweet of Chris to let you sleep in! I'm glad you guys really enjoyed yourselves. It sounds like it was so relaxing and fun. Your font could be a little bigger and it would be easier to read. Love ya Tiff!!
