Happy 4th of July

Well, we made it to the coast again. We left Thursday afternoon in Angela's Jeep Commander (Shaun, her husband was driving our car down on Friday). In tote, was Angela, Conner, Chris, and myself. It was a nice little drive...it actually didn't seem as long as it usually does. Chris' parents were meeting us all down there. That evening we went to Butter Churn for dinner...yum!

Friday, while we were down there, I took advantage of a nice GAP sale...an extra 30% off already marked sale items. I walked out of there with a pair of jeans for Chris, this cute shirt, some chapstick, and a pair of socks for $34! This is while Chris was fishing with his Dad and I was spending sometime with Angela (Chris' sister) and her little guy Conner. For Dinner when they got home we all went and ate at the Butter Churn (a buffet like place) with awesome comfort foods.

Saturday morning we hit up Bakery Cafe. If any of you ever go to the coast and are near Aransas Pass, this is a must! The food is awesome and it costs hardly anything. They have breakfast specials for less than $4. We headed out on the boat with Angela, Shaun, Conner, Montoya Mom & Dad. This was Conners first time on the boat, so it was fun. I will have to post a pic of him in his little life jacket and sweet sunglasses. He even fell asleep sitting up in his life jacket. We fished a little, came in and at Hampton's Burgers (humongous!), dropped off Angela, Montoya Mom, and Conner and headed back out. We fished for like another 5 hours. I was exhausted! We came home got showered up and headed out for fireworks. We sat on the beach at Corpus Christi and admired the firework display being launched off of the Lexington (huge ship from back in the day). The wind was blowing so strong the entire time I think a worked my abs from trying to hold myself up. Other than the annoying wind, I loved the fireworks.

Sunday morning we got ready to leave for home...

Sounds like a totally great weekend...I am jealous. All of those food places sound awesome. When I travel, I am all about the food.

That does sound like fun (and drama free?) I can't wait to meet little Conner. Speaking of, I'll be in San Antonio on July 25. Jace is getting baptized in Boerne on August 1. You guys should come so I can see you!!!
