Speaking of Trials...

You will never guess what just happened! I'm sleeping (quite peacefully), when I hear a loud clanging noise. I abrubtly wake up and ask Chris if he heard whatever it was. He tells me yes, stay here. My heart starts pounding...is someone trying to climb our back porch? Is it the front door? My husband sneaks out onto the back porch and overhears a man and woman fighting at the apartments that are across the way. Apparently this guy is drunk and hits the girlfriend (they think, by they I mean about 7 guys who rushed out of their apartment to their porches as well). So, I am thinking we have a domestic dispute on our hands...all of us call the cops. Chris came back to bed, and we try to settle down again. BANG! I thought someone was shooting a gun...turns out it was a Chevy Tahoe with a terrible exhaust system. We heard this truck peel out towards our apartments (there is a road that connects the two)...at least we thought it was out. Chris goes out to the walkway and sees about 5 guys running up towards our parking lot. He peaks out to check on my car and the people. We are on a corner, with a covered parking spot next to a pole...my car is sideways. Apparently a random person was standing on the corner of the curb to see what was going on and this Tahoe back up and turn the wheel to hit the guy! He moves, the truck jumps the curb...totals my car! So yes, 4 am and I was mourning the loss of my dependable car (which was paid off). You can only open the back passenger door, its so bad. I will post pictures. Read the next post to see my thoughts on trials (before totaled car)....keep in mind I had written the next post hours before this happened, the irony of it all. Heavenly Father must of thought I needed to prepare myself for this one...I honestly laughed when I saw my car...you'll see why.
