Blame it on the Price of Gas!

Today I left work early because I wasn't feeling too good. On my home I noticed that some of the gas stations were raising the prices and decided to fill up before it hit $4/gallon. I remembered this one gas station down the street (Bitters/Blanco) from my apartment which always has low gas prices, so I decided to drive there to fill up. When I got there...the price was higher there than any others I had seen on the way...so needless to say, I kept driving. Somehow, I ended up a little further than I had planned to drive so at the next light I decided to turn around. As I was turning around I saw that the road wasn't wide enough so I just turned onto the street and kept driving until I found a driveway to turn around at. Odd--no driveways I could pull into! There were only private drives. As I was trying to find a place to turn around I had to head up a hill and, of course, go back down. As I was going down...speed naturally picked up (when I'm sick I drive so-o slow!) and so I decided to coast a little until I got to the bottom and lightly put on my brakes. As I put on my brakes at the bottom of the hill who should appear...a po-po (policeman). He was sitting there waiting at the bottom of the hill--he didn't pull me over. I finally found a driveway and turned around...then I see the po-po wave out of his window for me. I rolled down my window and he told me to pull over and he'd be with me in a bit. Interesting...so anywho, 20 minutes later, he said he clocked me coming over and down the hill (what a turd!) and I was speeding. I didn't say anything, but he gave me a ticket that looks like I was going 114 in a 30! What a nutty cop...I started crying on my way home because I was so sick and he took forever. When I got home I looked at the ticket and thats when I realized it looked like 114 and should have been "43" according to he cop...I swear I wasn't even going that fast (maybe on a normal day...maybe!). Anywho, I just had to vent...because I tried to save on filling up on gas, it cost me a nice chat the ticket from a cop AND I didn't fil up on gas!

Oh my goodness that makes me so sad for you. There is nothing worse than getting a speeding ticket it just kills your day and you were already sick. I really am sorry that is rotten luck. Gas prices are so annoying right now, it's like we can't drive anywhere without worrying how much it is costing us. I hope your night goes better for you.

What a crappy day. That is never fun when you get a ticket. Also I am feeling you on gas prices out here it is around 4.15$ for regular gas and gets higher the closer you get to DC. I hate it! And sorry you aren't feeling well.

Lame! Why do cops pull you over 10 minutes after they clock you? I hope you feel better after such a bad day!

Sorry to hear that. That cop is a turd. I can't believe he told you that he'd be with you in a minute....20 minutes. I hope you feel better.

I'm sorry you had a crappy day... you can vent on us(the blogger world) anytime. I wish policemen were more sympathetic... oh well. P.S. our gas prices here are about $4.30... lame.
